Born in the United States in 1943 Vinton Cerf has got a degree in Mathematics and a doctorate in Computer. In the 1970’s he invented the TCP/IP protocols which would allow the connection between computers. From 1982 to 1986 Cerf designed the first. commercial services of email that would log on the Internet. In 2002 he was awarded the Principe de Asturias Prize for Investigation and Humanities. Nowadays his work is focusing in creating an interplanetary net which expects to extend the internet to the space. He is also doing researches for the NASA.
