She was born on August 24, 1965. Marlee became
deaf at the age of 18 months from roseola infantum. She found out
about her passion for acting when she was 7 and joined a children’s theatre company. She studied law at university. In 1986 she won an Academy Award for best actress for her role in Children of a Lesser God. She appeared in a chapter of the series ‘E R’ but is better known for her role as deaf assistant DA in the TV series ‘Reasonable Doubts’
